As news of the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike began to spread, Kevin Bacon celebrated in a familiar way: dancing.

The 65-year-old actor took to Instagram on Thursday morning to share a video of him recreating his famous dance from his lead role in 1984’s Footloose.

‘The strike is over!’ Bacon captioned the post, which featured him dancing to Kenny Logan’s famous title song.

The actor – who said he no longer eats real bacon – was spotted recreating one of his famous dance moves from the film in a barn, wearing a pair of cowboy boots.

The post has received more than 292K likes since it was posted on Thursday, with many celebrities expressing their happiness in the comments.

Director Nicole Cassell, who directed Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick in the 2004 indie drama The Woodsman, said, ‘I love it!! I will love this dance forever and ever. Important to my childhood.’

Ethan Hawke, who stars alongside Bacon in the new Netflix film Leave the World Behind, added, ‘It’s amazing!!!!!’

The Paramount Movies Instagram account — which distributed the original Footloose and the 2011 remake — included a GIF of Bacon’s final dance in the classic.

The post comes after Bacon revealed in an issue of People’s Sexiest Man Alive that he no longer eats real bacon.

‘I don’t eat goats anymore and I don’t eat pigs, because I have goats and I have pigs. My wife is like, “We can’t get any more animals, because you’ll stop eating everything!” she told the Sexiest Man Alive issue of People.
