Rashmika thanked Amitabh on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday evening. She reposted her tweet calling for ‘legal action’ and wrote, “Thank you for standing up for me sir, I feel safe in the country with leaders like you.”

Reacting to her viral deepfake video, Rashmika said it was “horrifying” how technology was being misused, while her Farewell co-star Amitabh Bachchan called for legal action. .

Amitabh was the first to react when a fact-checker posted the deepfake clip alongside the original video of Zara Patel, a British-Indian social media personality, and legal measures to deal with deepfakes in India. and called for an urgent need for a regulatory framework. Rashmika also expressed her concern via Instagram, saying she was “really saddened” to see the video, which shows a woman in a black workout outfit inside an elevator. Her face has been modified to resemble Rashmika using artificial intelligence (AI).
